snowman in rongo

nice work kath from rongotea.

from my phone to your puter to phone and back! lovely.

steins and food courts

so waddya say? weekend in austria? ok. after deliberating for too long, we committed, and took geoff and kerryn up on their offer to crash their 11th wedding anniversary in salzburg. home of the salzburger (of course).

was a little wintry on the way outta london. everyone had to giggle around a little to warm up the air so there was enough of it for the plane to fly on or in or some such. brrrrr. but no delays for us (obvisouly we are the only peeps who mater) and jetting to the wee town nestled amongst the burgs (not borgs marian, although that would be interesting).

Day 1. hmmm. something. i am sure. um. um.um.um.um. um. looked @ some shops? and a garden. and talked about some stuff. checked email.
Day 2. proud possesors of the salzburger card headed up into the misty mountains (only 1 mountain, not so misty) 400 m to 2000m in 10 minutes. i like it. not nervous at all. no no. to be greeted by the softest whitest powderiest snowiest snow in all of the austria alps. nothing that a pair of puma allstars couldn't handle! a few snow angles and frosty cracks later we were @ the top of the peak and gazing over all of yonder. i think this was most of austria. it was nice.
what else? sad story was that we were only 3 instead of 4 because 1/4 of us was feeling the sickness of the morning, but on NZ time and then some. ow. nasty parasites.
but we did rendezvous for some solid mozarting (prerequisite) and the second foxy dinner (how many places can you get 3 types of sausage in the same pan! in the pan yeah!)
Day 3. did i mention they have pretty ace cafes? you have to sit down and then they will take your order. and then you have to sit down to drink and then you have to sit down to pay. geoff got confused. ohhhhh the FORTRESS. ohmygod all those days of playing lego were not wasted. and playmobile. who could argue. 1000 years of construction and fortification. to preserve the top of a hill. and some wood. was cool. can anyone remember the name? was ace.

oh yeah. was really nice of gk to share their 'romance suite' with us (complete with 'couples massage' and UBER SEX. both fully illustrated. we have a lot to thank austria for by the little bit of research i did. including how to have your breakfast and do a massage at the same time. illuminating. and they (gk) shared their spa complex (finally realising that WE are the foreigners and that it is ok for corpulent germanic males to strut the stuff in the buff and that i am weird for wanting to keep my wet lycra on my skin).

ummmmm. beer. beer stein. beer hall. beer fest. it was the austrians that invented the food court after all! line up, get your ticket, (first get your mug and give it a little rinse under the tap!) then choose the stuff to go inside it. and don't forget the bread and meaty bits (we had dumplings, saukraut and bbq pork and baked potato oh yeah)

then we had to ride home. no more snow anywhere. mysterious. mystery. us.

salty pussy likes high things.
